Then I went out into the Chapel and PRAYED. Guess what ??? When I came out I had a real sense of hope. The body amazly self healing when we stop poisining it. Is there a way to send him a bottle of Liv 52 ??? It turned my liver numbers around ASAP and now I am as good as if I had never drank.....well almost.

Evie- thanks so much for that- as I said I have not had contact for a few years, but I will order some from ebay co.uk as it will arrive quicker and send it- I just hope he will try- some people won't do anything without the approval of their doctors- even when they are dying.

Hello all. When I drank, I sat alone for days, except for my husband coming home in the afternoon or evening with the dread of what he would find, and how he would cope with me. The saying is "Be careful what you wish for", and I guess it's very true, as much as I love the change. Now I'm back, with an older and more worn body, to the point I'm wanted and expected to do something spectacular at every occasion; act as hostess, come up with games and information to thrall and inspire them, and then I get to the children. Can you tell today is our family reunion, going on for over a hundred years this weekend! SOMEBODY SHOOT ME!!!!

Rubes, be like me, an unsociable bugger who is renowned for "not doing family unless absolutely necessary ":-)
Since I have been sober, I have been much better at saying no.

Very good here! Apart from getting laundry and housework done though, can't say that's so nice...
                          :H:H

I have to say, doing the laundry is one of the better things I've discovered living alone. I like putting clean stuff away.
                          Ironing....now that sucks.

It's a simple and kind of rustic item, but well made and it will be nice when it's done....and very satisfying

I rarely do any ironing. If it needs ironed I'll go and find something that doesn't, or maybe buy a new one.:H
