    Non-Alcholic beer anyone?

    Lukalee,
I remember a friend in AA talking about how easy it was to quit saying "Who likes the taste of beer anyway?" Well...I do!!

I love the new amber light O'Douls. Haven't heard of Kaliber. If it's in the States I'll buy some-thanks to those for that tidbit.

I do well with drinking the non-al Beer although some people can't even do that in their recovery process...too much like the real thing. I always have liked a cold beer on a hot day so I enjoy a non-al here and there...and it sure gets hot in the summer where I live - always above 100!!

They call them Red Ones. I'm from MN and hubby is from SD and both states know about red ones. Delicious and alcohol is cut in off as it's usually 1/2 beer, 1/2 t.j.

in Iowa they drink 'reds' made with beer and clamato juice (clam/tomato). ick!

yes Lastcall I was fortunate enough to be at 'bacon vodka camp' LOL! I had to smell it at least. I about puked just from the odor.

ok, back on subject: I drink O'douls or other N/A beer when I'm at a restaurant or bar with friends but usually don't bother with them at home. They still have empty carbs and cost almost as much as regular beer. I find my fav drink to be plain carbonated water.

Eve, I really love the taste of beer too, but many of them at once. Last year, I can't tell you how many different types of AF beers I tried. It became quite the hobby and quite expensive!!! I think I may go Det's route; If I am out at an occasion or the bar (football is around the corner!), I will go for the AF beer, but when I am home I will try to stay away.

I like Becks AF. Its just nice on a Friday night on the Terrace as the sun goes down. I was in Dubai recently and they had a huge selection of AF beers.

For those in Canada the Presidents Choice Blonde is really good too.

I think the .5% alcohol would start my cravings.

I haven't ever tried any of the AF drinks...to me it is like decaf coffee..I just dont see the point. I am FINALLY starting to see the wine weight I gained coming off. I think it would trigger me....I really do. I say this because after one glass of wine I am wanting more and more. I am not buzzed after one, but the taste gets me going...so I think it would be a bad idea for me.

Britt- how long did it take to get the "wine weight" ( LOL) off? I am very slowly losing the bloat now I want to lose the 15 lbs.
