      Hi Army!!

Oney, don't worry about the dream. People here talk about them a lot. It is your brain healing, girl. No, bats do not make good pets.

Betty, (I just can't call someone Sweaty :H)

The avatar is adorable. I sure hope you get the little fella/gal on his/her way into the wild. Really cute little critter.

Gyco, Hi!! You might want to check into why you are growing breasts, though. Could be a hormone thing... We wouldn't want you to have to deal with menopause. :H

Evie, Oh honey. I am so sorry you are going through this. Get your hiney to any dentist who will help you asap. Pain is NOT good for us alkies. It took me down hard last summer with my cluster headaches. I agree, avoid the pain meds if you can BUT if it keeps you from hurting enough to stay away from the drink, get some!! Sending you lots of hugs and strength today.

      Limers and Starty - Hello!!

      Love to all,
      Cindi

      ps Hi AFM!!

        Niagara on the lake Canada.
We are staying at the Ye Olde Angel Inn and I am teaching a class on spiritualism and a reporter is doing an article on me and the ghost at that Inn.

They did 2 root canals and now have decided that the teeth are fractured below the gum line and have to be pulled by a specialist while I am under general anesthetic.
Maybe they have time friday or not until july 8th ???

Oops, Hi Cymru and Popeye. How could I forget to say hi to you?

btw, cats sleep 80% of the day, the 20% they are awake is at night. :-)

            Love,

Well, Starty, if I had a budgie and it squarked, I would get rid of it, too!!

Oh yes! One of the agreements to getting a cat was the budgie has to go.

Yeah, I already had the emergency appointment. They gave me anti biotic and loricet.....niether of which I wanted or have gotten rid of the problem that has gotten so much worse because of unnecessary root canals !!
Thanks for the PMs....I will not blow a years worth of sobriety over the pain of a toothache. I will go start back on my "best friend" baclofen.........I was gonna start back on it to prepare for my trip to the UK in July but the stress of these teeth make me think that I need it NOW !!! What a comfort to know that I can run to that instead of the bottle.

                        Cymru,

What is a budgie? I have never had an animal that squarked. I assume it is an animal?

I am assuming squarking is an irritating noise. At least, I think I assume that??

Sorry, but it really upsets me when people get pets and when it doesnt go as smoothly as planned they get rid of them.

Ahem. That was cheeky now wasn't it? I just swam the English Channel. I think weedeating is at least the equivalent. I usually feel a twinge of resentment when I do that probably because I need to blame SOMEONE for my my hands hurting. I think that was what happened to my last rescue dog. Poeple got it as a cute puppy and didn't know how or take the time to learn train it. The wild little puppy then became a 90 lb untrained dog and lived neglected in the garage. When people want to try pets, maybe they should start with a hamster. It only lives 2 years and is pretty low maintenance and quiet.

Sorry, Starty, I have to disagree. I think it is good when someone gives up a pet to a better home than they can provide. My first Pyrennes came to me from a great guy who had to move into an apartment. He loved that dog so much, he was willing to give her to me because I had the house and yard to take care of her and he knew she would be loved by my entire family. He did come to visit her at times. He missed her a lot. Lady lived to be 14 years old. Unusual for that breed. She will always hold a dear and special place in my heart. She was pure love.

Sometimes we get ourselves into more than we can chew.

Greenie, all of my pets are rescue animals. My second Pyr came from the shelter when Lady got away from us and was picked up. They cunningly put her next to Augie. He was so thin and weak he could barely move. We took him in and Lady and Augie became soul mates. I lost both of them within 2 weeks of each other. Augie, after we fed him up, became this giant bouncy doofus. He only weighed 150 lbs and every pound was filled with happiness to be with my family and Lady.

Oh, God, I am crying right now. I miss those two something fierce and it has been several years since they died. Thank Heaven for sending me Poulan, Cosmo and Baby. I wander around in a house of fur but it is worth it.
