Opal, You have to stay CALM, Peaceful relaxed and at ease. You are holding up well and I agree with the "Green one" on this. Keep your positive outlook......expect everything to be OK and it will be. That's what I see happening !!!

Army Thread 22nd June 2009
Good Morning my Army Friends,
Opal, I am thinking of you. Please let us know how it goes. We are all a bit anxious for you..
Oney, My heart goes out to you. Binge drinking is as difficult to deal with as every day drinking, in some ways more. I think Wob needs some help, too. Hugs to you, Wob and your children. What Gyco said was pretty profound. Stand strong, though, because there is a whole lot more at stake than you and hubby, there are children involved... I can't say anymore, I see the same pain in my hubby's face when I fall. :l:l
Evie, HAVE FUN!!
Starty, Gyco, Greenie, KTAB, Bridget, Irish, Cymru and all my other friends here, a shout out from Alabama to you all.
I am doing well today, the Baclofen is a wonder drug for me. I feel a bit sad that I need a drug to help but have decided not to look this gift horse in the mouth.
btw, I have seen the word "craic" twice now and Googled it. For those who are not Irish, here is an explanation. craic
In the last week I have learned several new terms, Aussie - tip (dump), ute (utility vehicle), antipodean (on the other side of the world), and now the Irish craic. This is fun.
Love,
CindiAF April 9, 2016

If you don't care about YOU then what kind of mother are you ???
Kids don't listen with their ears, they listen with their HEARTS !!!
You have to make sure that NOTHING is more important than that YOU are happy !!!
If that sounds selfish then i will tell you what I think selfish is ??
selfish is when you go thru your life NOT FEELING GOOD......cause you are a broadcast system, if you want to be or not YOU ARE !!! It's like a psychic virus that follows you where ever you go. Your family catches it first, then your community then it goes from there out into the world.
If you live your life feeling GOOD as your number one priority, first you benefit, then your kids and ultimatly...the WORLD is a better place.
Think about it my DEAR SWEET ONEY .......OK ???........OK !!!sigpicEyes on the PRIZE, a SOBER Future !!!

I do understand what you mean Gyco, we have all been there but this has been getting progessively worse so that now every weekend he is out getting drunk while I am here alone with the kids, we do nothing as a couple. Then when he comes in steaming, I have to put him to bed without the kids seeing, its hard.
I am not going to say anything else to him today, moaning at him is not the answer.

So, the next time someone (you don't like) asks you how you're doing, just say "Lekker you Fecker":H"The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it"
