I am not a big fan of him. But this is making me want to go to the pub real bad.I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.
Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow. -

I am trying. heading into chat. If I do drink it will be after dinner. But I do not want to drink. Period. Course I could go and drink pepsi or other soda. But I know better. You know what I tried is ordering a club soda w/lemon first - this at least helped me "settle in" and slow down. Then order a beer. The alternate beverage helped to set the stage for the evening and kept me aware. Good luck!Comment

In my opinion ... he was never convicted ... and the accusations were all about how much money the parents could get out of this .... I am tired of everyone knowing everything about everyone when no-one knows anything about anyone .... I bow out of the debate ... the greatest icon in the world of pop music has died .... I do not believe he was a pedophile. I believe he had a mental illness that made him want to be a child and be around children and act like a child because his true childhood was so messed up. He said in an interview that as a child he had to be the adult, so when he got older he did not want that adult responsibility anymore. Does it make sense to most of us? No. But if he had truly been a pedophile I believe a lot more people would have come out against him. These people were looking for a payday because he was so abnormal so it was not a far reach to think he could have molested kids. I think his life was a true tragic story and his father should be ashamed for the pain and abuse he inflicted on him to turn him into the mess he became.I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship meComment

Lushy, I agree to a point, but I totally disagree.
The obvious thing is, he was looking for love in all the wrong skin grafts and places, and everything else. It is so sad. I have no judgement, just sadness.
It is a lot of work to unveil... stripping off the the crap. I think he did molest children. It makes total sense for a co-dependent with such neediness for affection.If you do not live the life you believe, you will believe the life you live.Comment

I do too. Didn't one of them have a description of his penis? And that is how molestation starts, by cuddling, being 'friends' - one thing leads to another. Giving them alcoholic drinks? Just sleeping in bed with young boys - is that for THEIR sake???
I mean, even if there was no sexual touching, it still would be a form of molestation.
That's what I think - even though he was a great entertainer and musician and did a lot of good otherwise.Comment
