    Army Thread June 30th

    Old people are always mucky.

Well, I have been the ultimate domestic goddess and the house is nearly spotless

Talking about old people: with my mom visiting, you should have seen DW getting the place ready :-)

My mom is a neat-freak, even at 73. My granddad always said her epitath should read: what she could, she cleaned :-)

Does she go round your house doing the white glove test?
My mums mother in law did, and it drove my mum mad :-)

She hadn't been there 30mins last night and commented on how clean it looked. Believe me, when I get home, there's going to be a list of "suggestions" on how things can be improved, or she'd have done a lot of it herself already.

I joked to DW that she should deliberately turn the tupperwar cupboard into a disorderly state!!!

Jokes aside - I must watch out for triggers while she's here, as much as I love her.

Yep, parents and in laws can be big triggers.
My mum is. Mr Starts parents used to be but thankfully not any longer.

Oney, think of it in this way: maybe you're trigger-happy, with emphasis on the happy bit?

What is helping me hugely is to be aware that these things are merely triggers, then I remove the "r", and I'm left feeling bouncy. It is difficult to try and be self-aware, but it is paying off (for me, at least). That way, the triggers become less important.

                        Oney,

How long have you been AF now? It seems there are certain milestones that are difficult to get past. 9 months is a huge one.

You "carish." I know you do.

Kick those triggers to the curb.

                        Love ya,

I have struggled more than usual lately. Wonder if there is something in the air.
