    A question for all you guys out there...

    This has nothing to do with drinking but i'd like the honest truth...

    Can men be friends with women?? Just friends, no sexual interest or anything like that.... Is it possible?

    I don't think there's a clear cut answer to this, lots of other factors involved, but yes its possible sometimes.....

      I can only speak for myslef, Michelle, but yes, I think it's possible.

      I have two fantastic (girl)friends. We met in our 1st year at university and have been friends ever since. We were housemates for a number of years, and we all still live in the same town just outside Cape Town. They have become family friends, and are "tight" with DW as well.

      In other cases, that wasn't quite possible, and I've lost touch with two others where things became a bit uncomfortable.

      I quess it depends on the individuals and the situation...

          Hi lil, I think sometimes it could get tricky if both people are unattached.
          But in my case definitely yes it is possible, I have a two purely platonic female friends.
          Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

            I thinks its very possible. I have a couple of male friends. We are simply mates, that is all.

                    I actually think that guitarista was pretty honest and true about it. i think it depends on whether they find you sexually attractive. my hubby (who i am separated from) has always said that men always want sex from you. unfortunately that put me in a place where i am always questioning a man's motives for being nice. So i think the answer is yes...but only until they want to have sex with you.

                          I think if you have 'long term' female friends then yes, but for a grown man and woman to meet for the first time, for me, there would have to be some physical attraction. I think different sexes of different ages can become friends too. As someone said, clear as mud!
