Ohhh man, I can relate to yucky tooth pain. Late fall 2008, one of my molars lost a filling and then "came apart" .. there wasn't much left; it was open, raw; could see the gum. A normal person would have made a dent. appt. right away. But, coward that I am (terrified of dentists), I put it off until it started paining.. and then until the pain was excrutiating .. Feb. 2009.
I was in so much pain that I called and asked for an "emergency" appt. They said I would need anesthetic... (you know, that kind that doesn't put you all the way out, but makes you loopy?) .. and they would have to make an incision and cut / pull the rest of it out.
Anyway, long story (as usual - sorry) short .... I used my pain as an excuse to drink way more than usual that week .. and my appointment was at 7:00 in the evening ... Yep, I was teetering on drunk when I showed up .. I used everything I had to mask the smell ... But the worst part was that I was so afraid of what the anesthetic would do to a person who'd been drinking all day that I asked for a regular needle freezing instead.
Not fun. Stupid stupid stupid!
Hope all goes well for you tomorrow! Is there anything you can take for the pain at all? Somone told me to crush an aspirin and put it on the area. I never tried it .. might work?
