Morning All.
Hmmm.
Can I take you all into my confidence this morning ? This is just between us, OK ?
A disturbing thing has happened over night.
I seem to have been rapped firmly across the head with the 'ugly stick'.
Now there are two distinct possibilities here, as I see it.

1. That it takes more than the prescribed 36 hr alcohol free period to begin to look healthier.......OR......and more horrifyingly..

2. I have ALWAYS had a face like a dropped pie, and have spent years waking up still half cut, congratulating myself (in manner of delusional woman) on my miraculous regenerative powers.

Oh dear God....I am away to phone all of my exes for an honest assessment.
Failing that, I see that our David kindly offered to run me down with his new ute last night. It may be the best offer I get for a while.

Bridge - verdant pastures are very verdantish.

Oh - and another thing - after a period of being AF you'll find you may lose a lot of weight, resulting in a gaunt and emaciated appearance. You will also not be able to sing as well or as loudly as previously and your dancing ability will become somewhat laughable.

my god we are up early this morning, I am just passing by as I have the school run to do.
Well I am on Day 2 A/F and I have got to make this work this time, so I might be asking for alot of support from you guys if you dont mind
Briget 36 hrs A/F well done girl, is this the first time you have gone A/F? if so im sure you will do just fine, together we can do it.
Tawny the last time I went A/F i did'nt lose any weight but my face looked a bit better, mind you it could'nt of looked any worse lol

Yep we are on the same day, same page. I have been AF before yep. For months at a time, with no withdrawal symptoms (that I am allowing myself to remember) and felt (and looked ??????????) fabulous.
QUESTION THEN....Why the Feck did I start drinking again????????????????????
My love I am here for you anytime, and together we shall conquer and slay the beast........we'll start after breaky and the school run OK ? Ummm Oh yeah and I've got to go to Woolies and have a coffee with the girls.............but after THAT, I'm all yours.

Hello antipodeans!!

I just had to chime in that when I quit drinking, I gain weight.

I think it is because I actually eat when I am sober. When I am drinking all ADL goes out the window. (Activities of Daily Living)

I can't wait to look better but at my age, I'll just take feeling better if that is all I get.

I am on day 6 tomorrow. A big day for me. I seem to be able to go about 5 - 7 days before I blow it. So if you don't mind, I would like to jump in with you two and lean on you for support.
