    Creative Mind Sober.

    Having a dandy time being sober this time around. Planted flowers from seeds, takes days to see growth, so you wait for life to pop out of the soil!!!

    Next~Could not find decent curtains, so i found some pretty sheets, sewed the top to place a rod in and voila' nice coverage from the sun.

    ~old nite gowns, i have cut them in half, they are so cool tucked in or hanging out. Cotton floral ones, my faves i cannot part with.

    ~my newest purse is a large gallon plastic bag, i see everything i need right in there.

    ~just happy as all can be being ME. making the best out of the simple things in LIFE!!!

    ~my bean collection is huge, i can make any bean dish in a pinch.

    Are you more creative sober, if so, what are you doing other than spending all your time on the computer? afterall, there is so much fun to be had ~ free.

    take a nap today, it could save your life.

    Good thread ... I always wanted to write ... I never did .... until now .... yeh I'm sober and creative ..... and able to help others now too .....

        Love your post! Although, I will have to get back to you when I have some AF days under my belt. I am currently working on my 1000th draft (not quite, but should be for the amount of time I've re-written it) of a screenplay I wrote. Hey, maybe I'll put AL away and finish it!!

          that's awesome! I like the idea about the curtains, but i have trouble sewing on a button. I live in a desert (Phoenix) so not much grows here except cactus. I hope i become more creative as i become more sober. I used to be one hell of a photographer before i started drinking. That gives me an idea.

            Thanks All, i like to do things that produce happy results. Anxious about the flowers in huge pots, they are Vanilla Sunflowers with Nasturim ~ edible followers, cheap and with a little sweat and time i am looking forward to them growing, alittle late, but who cares, i did it. That counts most.

              Being sober I never worry about having the money for the next drink.

              And no more wishing that I was someone sober when I was drunk.
              I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

              Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

              Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

                  Great stuff . . . being busy and creative

                  Personally I have been reading not just in MWO but various books. For some reason I can't seem to read books fast enough these days.

                  Just finished Saved by the Light, Embraced by the Light and almost finished The Awakening Heart. Next on to The Alchemist and hopefully my library will be able to find Watermelon Magic which I heard about here at MWO.

                  Plus gardening, don't get me started I can and do spend literally hours outside planting, transplanting and weeding. Such Solice in this hobby . . . keeps the mind occupied on positive things (especially when we get upsetting news).

                  Oh Happy Days ! ! ! There is a reason for everything and everything has it's purpose . . . I Finally Get It!

                    Ahh...gardening! When I lived in a house with a big backyard, it was one of my favorite things to do. My condo has a patio now that could use a little magic! Thanks for reminding me how much I loved this, as I will need new pastimes! Drinking does take time you know!

                        i have been picking flowers and placing them on our dinner table, so like i was years ago, a young bitch. does anyone care, nope.

                        RAILINGS .. i don't have a clothing line, towels, comforters, jeans, dry nice. 'energy' saved!! Shepards Hook for hangables.

                        back to basics, conservative and fun! AARP. simple matters. home is good, mind is creative.

                              Scrapbooking.
                              I'm not very good at it (by my standards - I don't give a stuff what anyone else thinks) but playing with scissors, glue, coloured paper, stickers and other cool stuff is fun. It's like having the best part of being a kid again without anyone telling me I should be doing my maths homework instead.
