The Next Day Thread, Fri 10th July

    Hi G
Glad to see you doing so consistently well.
Sober socialising is a new one for me. It's taking some getting used to. I still have fun, get a laugh, but still don't feel as 'dynamic' and 'articulate' as I used to feel. I acknowledge that this is probably delusional. I'm sure 'shitfaced' and 'slurring' are more appropriate adjectives for how it all went down.
I also can't stay up as long. I'd have no trouble drinking my way through to the wee small hours previously. Now I just want a good meal and my bedfordshire like a big sooky la la.Trying to avoid the more marathon type events at the moment. I really think it's pushing the envelope at this stage. But I'll have to go there sooner or later.
Vegetable soup.....live alone do we ?
Got a gig this weekend ?
    Bridge.

      Hi all

'Tis good to see Wavey-the-slug and Mr. G-the-goose.

No drivelling for me this Friday night - I'm off to the big smoke tomorrow a.m., all coiffed and frocked up, for some music and a big fang and a posh sleep at Southbank. Found a restaurant that does escargot AND steak tartare. Pick me, pick me, pick me. This old woodsplitter has to embrace her feminine side every so often.

      Have a safe weekend, all.

        Sorry Bridge - cross posted

I've been a sooky la la for a couple of years, going to bed really early, and I LOVE it.. I'm also up before Mr. G and Wavey who are early risers. Mornings are grand.

Gigged last night Bridge, and got my fix for now, but nothing this w/kend. Usually a jam session of sorts on, but have other fish to fry. I'm not one for the always available 'marathon's' since i don't drink, but that doesn't stop me getting out for a good part of the night and partying. When i get bored, i bid my farewell's, grab the chick's, (in theory) and go home, where i drift off to a beautiful sleep, waking with actual memories, and chicks gone. I find it very strange still, but very interesting and exciting as well, for some reason. I ALWAYS have an exit plan. i.e. i drive myself to and fro' at the mo, till i'm confident enough to not go mad with boredom if i'm stuck out bush somewhere with a bunch of drunks, and no way to get home/escape. But i will embrace that scenario too, soon, i suspect, and that's ok.
