He got sober and died 104 days later of cancer. Sober too late for him and his kids.

I just watched it. He HATED the intervention but did decide to go, then was diagnosed with cancer and dead within a year. The son said something like "he died of cancer but at least he didn't die an alcoholic." What a horrible story.

I usually like to watch "Obsessed" which follows "Intervention," but I don't think I want to right now.

I have been so busy with work and paperwork and house stuff-- never ending laundry. Aagh! It feels like much later than it is!

Thanks for this thread. I am dubbing A&E on Mondays the mental health channel. I never watch the show, but I do really relate to the feelings in it.
