Day one of My Sobriety Begins TOMORROW

Tonight, I'm finishing off the last of my 16 ounce Keystone beers and dusting my hands with them.

I have medication prescribed to keep me from going into withdrawal, and will be taking those meds sparingly as the doctor ordered.

I'll begin going to AA meetings either tomorrow night or the next day.

I'd like to ask for your support. I'll be checking in and giving you updates on my progress friends.

    Please pray for my success!
I've been walking, a long and crooked path. Come my restoration, wash my body clean...

I promise you that I'll be back. Probably not feeling the best, but in a few days/weeks I will be doing better. I THANK YOU for your support; I need it badly.

I've already cut down so much that I seem to sweat constantly. I suppose that's to be expected.

Sweating out the toxins .. let 'em go. Glad you got the meds. Still, be careful, especially if you're alone. You'll be on my mind tomorrow. Please check in when you can and let us know how you're doing.

Power to you... Go get 'em!
AF for two years. Slight relapse. Working on it at the moment.

Thank you so much for that comment Sheri. One of the things I am most proud of is the time I served my country. If the US Army would take me back (I'm too old), I'd go back in a heartbeat.

(((Sosad))) so glad to hear this. Yes, I guess sweating stuff out is part of the process. I'm happy you've made this choice!

So, you've been in my thoughts and prayers already today. Just stay with us, OK? Don't set yourself up for failure, but if it happens the first go-round, keep coming back. It took me more tries than I have fingers!!

I also have a little 15 month old rat terrier that doesn't deserve to be sitting in the house all day. He deserves his day in the sun, to run and be free. There is a doggie park just five minutes from here that he loves, and he deserves to enjoy himself instead of being confined to a house with a drunk.

I feel for him. He is such a sweet dog that gets along with ALL animals and people, even cats. He's so sweet and doesn't deserve this.
