    The Next Day Thread, Thur 16th July

    Hi Everyone
    Wow, I have finally got up at a decent hour !!!!!!
    Its only because I have got to take my middle son to his sports program thing at 9.00am, but at least I will get some work done around the house (hopefuly)
    Well the weather has taken a turn for the worst AGAIN.......
    Well id better go and wake my boys up and get my bum into gear

      Now, I'm not the one who wants to be Den Mother or even Hall Monitor but what TF were you doing up at a quarter to three, Wavey?

      (Sings quietly, an old Johnny Mercer song. "it's a quarter to three, there's no-one in the place 'cept you and me, so set 'em up Joe .......)

      Yea. I know. Head full of useless info.

      Oh, and Bridge - nah you didn't get up people's noses last night - I just don't think we yarp as much as the Poms do. (best add a smilie gizmo thingie here to indicate i'm being jocular and somewhat frivolous)

          John Herndon "Johnny" Mercer (November 18, 1909 – June 25, 1976) was an American songwriter and singer. As a songwriter, he is best known as a lyricist, but he also composed music. He was also a popular singer who recorded his own songs as well as those written by others. From the mid-1930s through the mid-1950s, many of the songs Mercer wrote and performed were among the most popular hits of the time. He wrote the lyrics to more than a thousand songs, including compositions for movies and Broadway shows. He received nineteen Academy Award nominations. Mercer was also a co-founder of Capitol Records.[1]


          And a fine jolly old romp he was. I think.

                    All good here thanks. Very busy this year, with 2 jobs last few weeks, and lot's of other stuff going on, but got w/kend off, so cool! I presume the young fella's have a 'that's enough now' cut off switch?!
