I just stepped out to help a friend with some computer stuff (boring but got me out of the house).

In consequence, this friend gave me a bottle of wine (not any bottle - a magnum no less - don't think I need to explain what that is !!??). I tried very hard to refuse but she wouldn't accept because she felt like she owed me something. She actually followed me to my car and didn't let me leave without it.

Now I'm sitting here with several/many ?? options ...

What to do?...

Yes, go straight to a charity shop and hand it in ..... it's a shame to throw it ... it is expensive so the first charity shop you see give it to them ..... they will be glad of it as a donation to a raffle or auction or something .....

and get up the courage to tell your friend .... it took me 18 months though to start telling people I have a problem with alcohol and now sober blah blah ..... good luck .....

I hate to sound stupid, but what is a magnum? I usually drink the $2.47 wine at Walmart. At times I'll spend $6 on a bottle though.

Changed, I wish I had your tastes. My bank account would be much richer for it. All I have to show for spending all that $$$ on good wines is a wider _ss! :H A magnum is a large bottle -- 1.5. liters.

I, too, wondered what a magnum was ... besides a hairy guy with a mustache. ...... I was actually picturing one of those Beverly Hillbilly jugs .. you know, one of Granny's "XXX" jugs that she had her "medicine" in? Heehee. She once said she invented the cure for the common cold -- drink from the jug for 10 days and your cold will be gone .. LOL!

*ahem* .... But I digress ... I like the idea of a ceremony, too.
