I used to have a cat, many in fact. And I did research whether they could become vegetarian.
But I think there is a nutrient that they need that can only be found in meat.

Although it is possible to keep dogs on a vegetarian diet satisfactorily, cats are more specialised and you are advised to consider carefully before changing your cat to a vegetarian diet.

Yup, and if truth be known, my dog nearly did too....
