Better than placebo, love. Yourself ?
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

              I need to paint.
I've been putting it off too long.
I hate the thought of it, but I'm always glad that I did it.

Bridge I bet it looks lovely now and was worth the couple of bad hair days, speaking of which hope your scalp has recovered. Now whats your next diy project?

Honestly Pops, in as much as I've pissed and moaned about it, the place looks fab now. So fresh. But what they say is true. Most of the work is in the preparation. Filling , sanding etc is boring, but it's worth it. I have an older house with mouldings etc. Walls are hard to get looking good.

Next DIY is a garden 'grease and oil change'
Ripped out loads of stuff. Have already redesigned it and am propagating what I need over winter for spring.

                      I know what you mean.
It's just the thought of all that disruption.
                      All what disruption???
I've only go a tiny little house and two good days would have it looking like a new pin.
There! I've talked myself into starting it at the weekend.
                      Thanks

No, you're right. It's very disruptive. And I also had kids and dogs running through. Drove me crazy, but do it. It will keep you busy and out of mischeif, Pops.
