T, I can hear my Mighty Berit coming. She totally believes her mission in life is to protect me, and, as a contractor working on my cabin said, 'she does a damn good job of it!!' She's still funny, thinking she's a lap dog too. It's so funny to watch her and Tinkerbelle interact. She's a sweet, loving, puppy dog, but absolutely formidable if she thinks I'm threatened. Even Tink tries to protect me, even from Hubs. I SOOOO love my dogs. There will never be a time in my life as long as I'm able that I won't have them. I only regret their lives are so short in comparison to ours. My heart has been totally broken before, and I know if nothing traumatic happens, it will happen again. Didn't mean to get off on a tear, but the depth of the way I feel about them is impossible to describe. Perhaps its because they are the ONLY beings I have loved deeply who have not hurt me in some way, aside from the children. My Grandson Jack asks first when he visits to see Berit. They automatically loved each other from the beginning!!
