good morning everyone,starts good luck in your new career,it wont be an easy one,but it can be rewarding,im thinking of going to college this fall,mt have to take an up grade considering i only have grade 10,i to would like to take the addictions course,just to pass my time,if i pass it,i no i can ge t a job,no the gent who runs one of the detox facilities,no quite a few who work there,if i did work it would not be every day,periodically,relief,the burn out rate here is high,as far as the rest of you you all seem happy this morning,Nana naps,i take paka naps lately,grandfather in friesen,dutch,im not dutch my wife's parents were,there deceased now,quick 10minutes,,it can be helpful at times,and a pain in the a a s s at others,wake up quickly an d i usually get lite headed,but should be use to that feeling,hahahahaha,food for thot,if we dont tell a doctor whats ailing us,the truth ? it is hard for them to help us,most dont no a lot about alcoholism,i was at an AA meeting last nt and a gentleman made a comment also,derogatory one,it amazed me,so me being me said,we people with addictions have grown over the years,we have evolved ,but society in all its wisdom is still quite a few miles back yet,society will never sympathise with heavy drinkers.or druggies,thats my opinion,and also why should they,that includes doctors,have a great day

Gykes I totally agree with you -- society has no patience for anything that they don't understand.
I read somewhere once, that those with addictions are more open mind and willing to accept change.

Hello Deebs, I wasn't intending to complain about our health professionals, if that's what Gyco was getting at. I have been nothing but honest with doctors about my drinking habits, my point was I didn't want to go to AA as I have found MWO a godsend

my sponsor said this place wasnt for me,hes a close friend,but everyone to there own,my wife says this,theres an old saying,why lose it,when it works,and i dont beleive she has a drinking problem,yor rt deebs most doctors have a minimum education on addictions,the sad thing is look at whats going on in the streets,hospitals and not only them the politicians,they turn a blind eye,even when its one of the own,the poor soul how could he or she be like that,so we all agree,drunks that agree,hahahha,we have something special at M W O ,dont lose it hehehehe
