Hi Skinny Cow .............

Yes we had a lovel few days away, I was a little worried as it was in our caravan and usually we drink all afternoon and evening, but we planned our days so that they were full. I have posted this elsewhere but I even did rollercoasters .......... BIG ONES ....... I always thought that I didn't like them when in fact it was the hangover that caused the nauseous feeling not the ride. We had cold AF beers with our tea and it worked a treat.

Thanks to my doctor and the librium, I am now on day 13 and feeling really good. I know that it is still early days but I am not miising AL at all.

Hi everyone, just a quick update to follow on with my progress ...........

Day 23 AF here, feeling really positive and good, I had a few problems thrown at me last week and instead of drinking I just dealt with them.

I no longer wake up panicky and anxious, I actually open all of my mail and deal with it, my bills are all paid up to date and I have lost 10lbs ........ All of this in only 23 days, I wouldn't have believed it.

The only slight downside is that sleep is still a problem, but I lie in bed planning what I'm going to do with my time now instead of worrying.

Thanks to EVERYONE for your support here, and if anyone is considering going AF then I whileheartedly say go for it ..........

I lie in bed excited about the day to come rather than hiding under the duvet panicking about where my next drink is coming from.

Still not sleeping well,but it's not going to kill me. It'll come with time.
