good afternoon each. Had a good day thus far altho I was out doing some much needed weeding in the wilderness we call a garden and something stung me on the lip - now have throbbing lump which is driving me Crazy! These things are sent to try us I guess, my friend just phoned and said put vinegar on it so I'll go and try that.

Hi Tip hope you're ok. I didn't do the vinegar KTAB - but have been holding an ice cube on it and that's helped a lot.
I just hope that the little varmint wot did it is suffering too!

Hi Sooty I may have misunderstood you there, was it an insect sting or a plant one? I believe vinegar can help in the case of a wasp sting if it can penetrate into the sting which is probably under the skin, something about neutralising the alkilne in the sting. So you may have suffered by taking my uneducated advice. Also it could just be an old wives tale.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?Comment
