      sosad's detox

      Hi Sosad!

I can completely relate to the south end of the donkey feeling. I am on day 2. I didn't sleep well. No appetite. Shaky. I feel hot one minute and freezing the next. I have had 4 AF days this week, and 3 drunken days. Hang in there and know that you are not alone!

        sosad's detox

Thanks all. I woke up this morning and drank a ton of ice water. Dreamweaver, I get the chills and hot flashes as well. The old body just has to adjust being free of alcohol. The biggest pain to me is the weakness I feel in my legs. I just can't seem to do anything physical right now damnit.
I've been walking, a long and crooked path. Come my restoration, wash my body clean...

          Sosad,
I know what you mean. I am in dire need of a shower but my legs don't feel steady. I feel happy/sad/mad/etc all at the same time. What day are you on?

Thank you Zenstyle! I'm hanging in there.

I suppose I could wash my hair in the tub! I might try to lay back down after that. Maybe have some toast and tea.

                sosad's detox

Let's try to buddy up and get through today! I managed to get a shower (I stunk so bad) and make a little toast and tea with a banana. I'm shaking like a leaf. It's hard because that sneaky little voice in my head says, "You know what will stop that." Hang in there! I'm hanging on!

                  sosad's detox

It had been 3 days since the last time I showered! I was pretty ripe with sweating out the booze. I got clean pajamas on. I don't take very good care of myself when I'm drinking. Detoxing is pretty rough! I'm just going to pretend that I have the flu and try to shut up the little voice in my head that whispers, "A drink will make you feel better!"

                    sosad's detox

Hi sosad, for my first few days I had a duvet on the couch and slept whenever I felt like it ......... please don't give into AL to make yourself feel better as it will react badly with the librium ......... My doc gave me a higher dose for the first few days so that I didn't suffer withdrawal, could you give him/her a call and ask if you can up your dose????

Big big hugs to you, and to everyone else here that is struggling ...........BB xx :h:h:h

I'm just eating when I feel able. I have some pizza that I am nibbling on. Dreamweaver, you hang in there okay?

                        sosad's detox

I have movies coming from NetFlix today. I will spend the day on the couch with a blanket. National Slob Day, I'm in! Earlier this week I went 2 days AF and felt worse then. Then I drank for 2 days. Now I am on day 2 AF again. It feels like I am just dragging out the detox. I have some nausea, shakiness, anxiety, insomnia, etc... It is bearable so far. I am able to keep down the toast. I'm drinking a lot of water. It will probably get a little worse before it starts getting better.

My doctor gave me plenty of librium. I suppose if I had to I could take more. Thank you betty.

                            Zenstyle what is stodge?

Sosad. Librium really helps. I don't have it this time, but I have before. Are you able to sleep?

I'm definately a stodge lover then! The detox kind of feel like waves! I'll feel okay for a bit and then POW, it feel like my skin is peeled off and I am coming out of my skin. I don't have any benzos. Last time I had prescriptions for them I was mixing them with the hard stuff and ended up in detox for 10 days. That was a 1-1/2 years ago.

So, my doc prescribed 4 x 5mg tabs at 8am, 12noon, 6pm, and 10pm for the first day which is far more than you are taking and it worked brilliantly!!!!!

Zen, Librium is a type of Benzo ..........

Love to everone and take care ..........xxx
