Steve Irwin on Larry King Live
For Those Who Care to Watch, Steve's Business Partner and Manager Are on Larry King Live on CNN right now, as well as Phillippe Cousteau, and the show will be repeated again in three hours. Sorry if this is not appropriate, but I thought that some might be interested. I think it's around 11:15 am in parts of Austrailia.

Steve Irwin on Larry King Live
Hi Kathy and Annie,
such a tragedy. I always had the feeling something like that would happen to him. He kind of lost his fear of wild animals and I couldn't believe it when he held his baby in his arms while dealing wiht a huge croc. Those things can move faster than an antelope when they want to. But he contributed a lot to understanding wildlife and environment. Very sad.

Time Out!
I'm in a reflective mood with all the going-ons of late so I thought this would be an appropriate interjection before this battle heats up -
Footprints in the Sand
- anonymous
One night I dreamed I was walking
Along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints.
Other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed that
During the low periods of my life when I was
Suffering from anguish, sorrow, or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints,
So I said to the Lord, "You promised me,
Lord, that if I followed You,
You would walk with me always.
But I noticed that during the most trying periods
Of my life there have only been
One set of prints in the sand.
Why, When I have needed You most,
You have not been there for me?"
The Lord replied,
"The times when you have seen only one set of footprints
Is when I carried you.":k TheKanga

My Feet
Right, that's The Kanga's profound moment over.
Woah! Here we go again
My feet, my feet,
I love my feet.
I think they're great,
I think they're neat.
They're pretty, pink,
and picturesque.
They look so perfect
on my desk.
Unfortunately,
sad to tell,
they also have
a funny smell.
So though I'm fast,
and though I'm fleet,
and though at sports
I can't be beat,
no team will pick
me to compete,
because they always
smell defeat:k TheKanga

Good to See You
Glad to see you back, Kanga! I was about to start worrying! Gotta love how you can go from profound to hmmmmm, trying to think about just the right word.... well, to coin a phrase from Brooklyn, NY,
"Fuggedabouddit!"! Can't think of one!
And no, we're NOT going to get into a row about Steve!! I just bawled through the whole Larry King show last night. What a loveable hunk of energy that man was! I admire his wife for her stamina! I continue to pray for her and the children.
Love, Kathy:l :h

The Quynh Flower (Ephiphyllum oxypetalum) by Song Viet-Dam Giang
The night is lighted by a dim mysterious moon.
Here and there arise vague and languishing tunes.
The connoisseur leisurely sips a fragrant cup of tea
Waiting for the descent from heaven of a fairy.
Wake up, O nature, rise from your slumber!
Shake free from your sleep to enjoy the Ephiphyllum,
The flower that enchants your heart with her colors,
And her fragrance carries your soul to a dreamland.
Why is the flower’s life so unfairly short?
Anyone looking at the Quynh flower has nothing but praise.
Anyone admiring the Quynh flower must feel compassion.
Her beauty barely shown when she wilts before the night is out.
O Quynh Flower! Regardless of the laments over the short life,
I wonder if Quynh herself regrets her fate.
In the midst of night she blossoms to full splendor.
“It’s best to live gloriously one instant, then leave quickly.”
Perhaps more than me has Quynh lived a fuller life?
Right, going to get a bit profound again .... this verse could be about Steve's life ...... Tawn's flower ...... Geez what's got into The Kanga today???:k TheKanga

Hmmmm...
Oh, Kanga!! Every SINGLE ONE one of those words does fit you to a "T" as we say here in the US! But they weren't QUITE what I was searching for to describe your second poem about your feet!! Or "DEFEAT", to be precise!:H It is your ability to fly from the sublime to the ridiculous and back again with such agility that is truly captivating, Love! It is GREAT to see you back in top form!!
