I hope WHEN is soon...
I never hit Rock Bottom and thought "I really have to sort this out or I will be fecked"
I got close for a year or so though..
Now it's more about the AL stopping me being who I am and achieving what I want.. (anxiety and depression, mild but still lurking)
You can live with that and just be a bit miserable... IF you don't realize and you don't make a massive effort...
I've been living with it a long time, I'm used to it, it's hard to break my patterns...
I know change is hard but seriously, AL has to go...What you perceive is what you believe, so make sure you look at things the right way....

Wavey: you might seriously want to consider baclofen. I don't want to sound "evangelical" about it or anythin. In fact, I seriously considered giving up on it earlier this week. But it is really starting to work
If you think about it: I've been drinking since age 18 (almost 40 now like you), and daily for the past 15/16 years - and heavily so. That is one HELLUVA addiction to overcome.I'll do whatever it takes

Hitting rock bottom, whatever that is to us, can end up causing irreversible damage to relationships, friends, family, work, the roof above our head, our physical, mental, spiritual health. We may even die, well before our time. It's ugly Waves, and i know you've had a taste of it. Also, alcoholism, or problem drinking, is a progressive thing. It gets worse, and we fall in deeper, as we get older. Can be too hard to come out of for many. Best get cracking, my friend.

Tip, I am considering Baclofen right now....
I need to talk to Reggie, he got it online (and it didn't get nabbed by customs!)
I know any GP around here won't prescribe it for me...
How is it going your end?
How is the Bac going?
Are the slaves still rubbing your feet? What you perceive is what you believe, so make sure you look at things the right way....

The slaves are rubbing away as we speak :-)
I'm really in a good space right now, Wavey - the light at the end of the tunnel is NOT an oncoming train. If all goes well, I'll have my 1st AF day next week, if I judge my own body and feelings correctlyI'll do whatever it takes
