hi liners,a few things friend of mine was attacked last week,member of my family is suffering from acute anxity,i just feel a bit help less,and belive me i never felt this way before,its like i am hiding away,not seeing the real world

sorry Mario, im been booted off by my 7 yr old, he wants to play a cars game on the pc, chin up, what youve achieved in the last 8 months is amazing, youd be feck all use to friends and family alike if you were 6 foot under and drinking like you were , thats where you were headed, you have no chioce just to go with the changes and take your time, you are prob still just emerging, im sure by spring the beautifull you will appear, fresh and ready for action!

Mario - I think that while we were walking around in a piss-induced state of '...whatever...', we had the ability to tune out. "Yeah, shit happens ...."

And when we get sober, we see the absolute ugliness that life can sometimes exhibit. That's what we have difficuty with. And that's when we have to rise above. It's too easy to grab a bottle and say "f*ck it".

You're doing the right thing - keep looking for the real world. Believe in youself.

Well Mario I dont know how to change peoples perceptions of you. I would just say be yourself and be honest. If they dont like the new better improved sober Mario well that is their problem. Sorry if this doesnt help but we can only be ourselves and cant start trying to be who people want us to be, nor should we. As Lim says would they prefer you as a an alcoholic?
