          Morning, Starts, Zeps, And Deebs

Well, I'm already halfway into Day 4 :-)

Didn't really sleep last night - got about two hours of restless, swaety sleep. But as I said yesterday: this to shall pass. Its temporary, and insignificant compared to the utter relief of not drinknig anymore.

          Starts: enjoy work today!

Zepps: I hope they don't start better-ending on you all at once :-)

Deebs: get some sugar in you, woman!

Have a lovely day, and to those to come, too.
          I'll do whatever it takes

Morning all, and well done tips.

I'm feeling somewhat embarrassed about this, but I'll go ahead anyway. When I was drinking and had a headache once many years ago, I was introduced to Solpadeine which contains 8mg of codeine plus caffeine and paracetamol. Because it worked so brilliantly, I kept taking it for hangovers. Fortunately I never exceeded the maxmum dose and for most of the time it was less than that. I knew it probably wasn't a good thing to continue with but WTF when you're drinking.

During these last 30 AF days I found myself still taking it mostly in the morning for a headache, or the threat of a headache. I realised of course that this had to stop so I stopped yesterday, I have had the most foul headache for 24 hours, it's eased a little now, and I experienced other things that people have reported on the Internet, restless legs, twitching muscles and so on. I went to bed at 7.30 last night and must have woken at least 10 times, and I realised just how insidious these things are, the alcohol, codeine and many others. It strengthened my resolve to never ever let anything have control over me again EVER
I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you.
