      Tip. yep. I'm loving the Spring cleaning thread too. Any 'angle' or 'theme' to jolt the thinking, but the collective enthusiasm as you say is so important. Especially on this site, where there is potentially support, and someone to lend an ear around the clock.

                Morning all. Phew, the testosterone is through the roof in here!! Ah well, it is a weekend for the gentlemen among us...specifically the Dads.

                I'm off to a birthday 'do' today - barefoot bowls at 12.30 for a friend who particularly likes to party. I'vebeen avoiding him since we got back to Oz (much as I love him) because I know he's not in a good place, abusing a particularly addictive substance. And I know me and I know I'm better off not hanging around that kinda stuff - hell, if I'm not already addicted to it I'm not about to start now!!! I mean, a 12.30 start?? And then we're s'posed to hang around until the rugby's on tonight...I don't think I'll make it...I've noted that pubs and places with booze are extremely boring when you don't drink. Anyway,will be a good chance to catch up with some old friends.

                  Dear god did someone mention Salvador Dali the mere mention of his name makes me dry retch. He gave me the absolute worst hangover of all time and believe me I have had a few. It all started when I went on the piss by myself in a little town called Cadeques in North Spain which was the home of said painter and I drank gin for 12 hours staight. I was so sick that I lay on the beach (stones not sand) all the next day and just leaned over and puked in the sand every now and then. I was praying for death. Then I had to go on a bus trip for 6 hours back to Barcelona and I lay on the back seat slipping in and out of semi-consciousness and dry retching all the way. If I ever see any pictures of his paintings or any mention of his name the memories come back. I for one will not be going to his exhibition.

                    Morning All,
                    How come you all get to do Dali and dinner for the weekend.....and I get to do round 3 and 4 of kiddy concerts ? Followed by damage control with an overtired, performance anxiety ridden 12 year old?
                    And Boozy informs that she has had a session with the man himself. What a way to cultivate an addiction.
