    THE NEXT DAY THREAD, September

Oh and re: the Brown Coat - you're off the hook Ronnie as it may actually be Kiwinese - from the South which is where MrCakes is from(v.cold). After you've had a few beers, you get your 'brown coat' on and can't feel the cold...therefore walking through the freezing streets in nothing but a T-shirt & your 'brown coat' (and hopefully some pants.....)

It was Barons Angel. I remembered as soon as I woke up this morning.
Shame I can't remember what went on while I was actually THERE.:H
      Morning All.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

        Morning all

The Sebel Townhouse was pretty good too. Shared a lift with Carlos Santana. Major claim to fame, no?

          Good Mornimng everyone.

          Tawny : Oui, That qualifies.
My claim is the chef at Mt. Kembla pub worked for both Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver, so I asked if I could shake his hand as it was going to be my claim to fame! Cracked him up. I was AF at the time. Does that qualify? Het Tawny, why don't you and I arrange to meet at Mollymook some time when Rick is in OZ cooking at Banninsters (which opens in a week or two).

Rags, great idea! I just checked - he opens on October 1 and the opening week is fully booked @ $150ph. Would be a hoot as I'm a major Rick Stein fan. We'll organise something down the track.

              Done!
Yeah I like Rick too... he is a fresh and slow food fan. Probably can't do it till early next year as I'm away 16 oct till 20 Nov o/seas, then house renovations, moving etc
By the way, went to the Mt. Penang flower show (near Gosford) on Saturday and was very restrained. Came back with only one plant, a grafted Eremophila, some olive oil, and a great seat hammock (made in Vic.). Mr. Rags says I can have a shrub spending spree when new house organised. Yippeeee. It will also involve the purchase of a leccy fence to surround garden to keep deer out till they've grown.... the shrubs, not the deer!

                I've pumped & then I spun...and now I must shower & nana nap.

                  ooooo I love Santana.
I met Denzel Washington & Halle Berry in a bar once (a bar...of course) It was Kinsellas on a Tuesday night about 15yrs ago. The place was pretty empty, Halle wasn't very famous at all.. I shook Denzel's hand.
                  That is all.

Just settling down after a looong day, and all is well.
Angel, what was the location of Baron's again? I need a memory jig. And how are you?
