Hi Ms. Opal! No gig's this w/kend, although i have a rehearsal with one band, about to launch a c.d. and another who are recording soon, and want my guitarin' on it, so gig's around the corner i expect. Plus, working my 2nd job, sat & sun. Busy, but an enjoyable busy for now.
What are you up to for the w/kend, and how are you going?

Opal, back to work? You sound excited! Getting myself a day job last year, really helped me get off the grog, as a big chunk of my day was spent at work, hence, off the turp's, and once i was ready in my head to go af, i only had to fill in the evenings for awhile, to commence the af roll. Will defo keep you posted re c.d. An af spring clean September with Bridget and the gang, is a great strategy in the battle.

Limey. My alternate w/kend day job is as a mental health support worker. Sort of encouraging activities and independent living skill's....teaching some guitar too...it's great, and i hope to move into the area on a more full time basis when the opportunity is there.

oh...thats interesting. I want to get into social work on some level myself, I would love to work with vunerable wemon who need help becoming independant , you know through education or whatever...or I would like to work with special needs kids , become a educational psychologist...I will get the degree first , then see where I go.
Id say you are a great asset to that place Mr. G, id imagine you are very patient.

Morning all, I see Pan dropped in yesterday...good stuff.
Hi Limers*wave* always good to see you friend.
G-Force your day job sounds interesting...did work experince for the social welfare place that my Dad works for about 15yrs ago. Really interesting but I was sick (spewed) on the train on the way home...I think I was a bit overwhelmed emotionally and it manifested with a spew. Some people have such tuff things to deal with in their lives...I try to teach my kids to be aware of how lucky they are.

Well, I made the chocolate cake yesterday- an outrageous success. All chocolatey and hazelnuts and dense like a brownie...will put the recipe up.

I've been trying to find Kudzu also but no luck, pls let me know if you find it and I'll do likewise. Bridge, I've seen the Kuzu too - but the guy said it was same as arrowroot and I'm not sure if it's all the same???

Happy little thread this is .
I've been up since sparrow's. The boy is in a school production which has morphed into a 'Bigger than Ben' type affair with costumes, tight schedules and other Bridget challenging scenarios. I'll never be a stage mother.
More Googling required on the Kuzu thing Angel. I've found several sites citing the two as the same thing.I certainly don't recommend anyone take it at this stage. It's just an observation.
I wish I simply had better stocked shopping around me. Better do a runner to Sydney I think.
G force, whatever your portal hopping self was on last night....pass some over. I hope one day I'm as high on life as you are dude.:l

Hey Bridge,it sounds like you live in one of my 'dream' places...close enough to Sydney to go to for the weekend and far enough away so you don't feel bound. I spent alot of time in a little village 1.5hrs drive Northwest of Sinney a few years back...Iloved it there.

Yikes! I just saw Wavey on another thread. He's turned into the Dali lama.

I've just made and fanged the best best best prawn laksa. So good I even took a photo to remind me at a later date.

Ronnie - another question you may be asked "How many heads does an echidna's penis have?" It's best to be prepared.
