Jesus...that is GREAT.....maybe I should just be a big sooky la la more often ??...That's funny y'know. I never imagined that having a weak moment could actually HELP other people. I kind of though you had to be bulletproof all the time , or you were/are letting yerself and them down......
You've REALLY got me thinking now Tippy. If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

THE NEXT DAY THREAD, September
I'm conducting an experiment. It has to do with not really acknowledging the things that give me pleasure. Simple things. I'm usually too busy focused on stuff that needs to be done to take the time to appreciate what's around me. So, the experiment is -in September for 30 days I have to take a photo of something which made me stop, look and appreciate. One photo per day. It's been interesting.
So far I have:
1. Cat on top rung of 2m step ladder. She always does this as soon as I set up the ladder but usually I'm in a hurry to do something and not amused. Took the time to take a pic because it really is funny.
2. Hakea - planted this thing about 6 years ago - it's done nothing until a couple of days ago. Suddenly there's a spike of beautiful red pincushion blossoms. A total surprise.
3. Woodpile - fully stacked. Felt good to get the job done but to actually take the time to go and get camera sort of validated myself.
4. Laksa - last night's dinner was fantastic and gave me pleasure.
Get the idea? I have to force myself to look for and acknowledge something nice. There's so much good, simple beautiful stuff around us if only we took the bloody time to absorb it.
Off to find something for Day 5.
