    THE NEXT DAY THREAD, September

Morning G &Tawny & all to come, well, everyone in our house slept in until 7AM!!!! No wonder we were cranky last night - we were tired.
Ronnie - how was Special Ops?? You know that main guy - his real names Les I think, I used to frequent a particular pub in Sydney about 10yrs ago that he was managing at the time..."taking time out from acting" he said. Oh the people I've met in watering holes!!!
Tawny - it's Monday morning and I have a real hankering to go bush *sigh* Oh well, I'll go smack Jim around a bit instead.

          Morning All
It's weird, I've always been pretty 'sensible' with money but thought nothing of dropping $100-$200 over the bar in a night...

            THE NEXT DAY THREAD, September

            Good Morning everyone,
Sorry I haven't been around the last couple of days.
Mr. Guitarman: The Songs of the Snowy Mountainds were by folk group The Settlers, and were about life and times working on the Snowy scheme. I don't have the Lp's or tapes any more. But I have a friend in Cooma who might have.

The people who are buying our house came for a look yesterday. She is not a nice person. Very pushy and condescending. Trod all over (rather delicate) plants. Not interested in the birds and wildlife. Don't know why she's buying the place. I think for the prestige of having views and a house overlooking the rest of the street. Then she dropped the bombshell she wants us out at settlement.
A week before she had assured Mr rags we could stay for 3- 6 months and pay nominal rent while we renovated the place we are buying.
Now we have a cascade effect and we have to tell the owner where we are buying she has to be out on 13 Nov, when we had previously said no need to move till after your son finishes the HSC.
So, we need to pack everything except a couple of plates and mugs, AND I fly out to Sri Lanka on 16 November. All go go go here.

Oh Rags, what a pain. Moving house can be such a stress. We briefly thought last year about aa house change, but for various reasons if made sense to stay put for a while. So glad we did as the very thought of it tires me out now!

Sounds like everyone had a hard working weekend! I went and got myself a mini hot house (portable one) and planted spinach, lettuce, tomato, basil courgette seeds. I haven't got anywhere much to plant them myself (just a couple of biggish pots on the deck), but I hand them out to all my Mum's friends, who are all getting on in years and have all moved into places with pocket-sized gardens. It works out really well as I get the pleasure of growing the seeds and they get a small enough number of plants that they can manage.

Did all right on The Plan until yesterday then crapped out (found out my brother's cancer has returned). New week this week ....... I get so sick of myself sometimes though. Willl stop grumbling now - I know what to do!
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Rags: What an absolute pain...people s**t me sometimes. I really feel for the lady in your new house & her son doing the HSC. Some people only think of themselves...
Mame: so sorry to hear about your brother...I guess with cancer it's better found than not. And you're right...new week. Let's kick it.

Rags - sorry to hear about all that crap. That horrible woman is going to absolutely pack her pantaloons when she first meets your diamond python.

Mame - I'm sorry. New week is a good motto.

Angel and Bridge ... add onto the booze costs the phone bills, the dumb Ebay purchases ... oh cringe ...

Another good day here - I think my wood stuff is akin to Angel's trysts with James. Got to do it every day or I'm not happy. Don't know what I'll do once I run out of stuff to split. Time for a nanna nap - catch youse later.

Bridge, There are, they are called electric. They can't mow anything though. It's kind of like people, isn't it? The soft, easy ones are useless and the ones that actually do things are a pain in the arse.

                          Hi Tip ans Tawny.

Thanks Rag's re 'The Settler's'. I hope Python survives new owner's. Bridge, has it got enough fuel? Give the spark plug a light sandpaper to clean it, and try that.
