LTG - yes my first class doing the indoor cycling but I'm no stranger to fitness. I enjoy outdoor running, indoor aerobics, weights etc. I have signed up for two 5 KM runs this fall and I find this helps to keep me "straight". It gives me an excuse not to drink. I had 10 AF days in a row in August then drank over the Long Labour Day weekend and now back on track with Day 2 here. I plan to have an AF September and hopefully October too!

What is everyone else's plans?

Wow, Lynnie! I'm tired just reading your schedule. I finally met with the Magistrate Judge t'day, filled dispossory notice on one tenant. Really hate to do this kind of thing. But, now I can focus on positive activities.

Actually, 8 days from now, if she's not gone, I have to go with a sheriff and move all her crap out to the road. AND she has an old,mean dog. I CAN'T send it to the shelter, so I'll end up muzzling it and dropping it at her mother's house. When you put their things out, it's like vultues descend on you all of a sudden, and everything is gone within hours. So, so sad, and I feel like a real villain, but she owes me over $1500 now.

Can you perhaps arrange for her to go to a shelter and put her things in storage. Public Storage always offers first month for $1. After that, it's her gig, not yours.

Her parents live nearby. I've tried everything to help her, even offering her work. She a little nuts; her room mate moved out after a month, even tho he was responsible enough to continue paying his half the rent and work out a payment plan with me. She actually really owes me more like $3,000 but I've written off so much for her. The magistrate judge actually bawled me out for letting her get away with so much. Her grass is so high we'll have to use an industrial mower to cut it, almost 2 acres. Sadly, I don't think she's mentally capable of being able to live alone and manage her affairs. I'm a real soft touch, so Hubs and I have had 'discussions' about how she has used me over the last year.

Ruby, that's really a sad situation. However, Ruby needs to come first. I am sure in that sweet southern hart of yours, you know you have done all you can. Time for brighter days. Just think, after you get that acreage mowed you can plant some more wild flowers and the property will have a fresh start :h

Thinking of putting in an orchard. My g'parents, gg' grandparents, and ggg' grandparents had an orchard there. I still have one ancient pear tree, with the sweetest fruit.

I did stop at some of the little shops in the one red-light town where I filed the notice, and found some great sales. I bought shorts and shirts for Hubs and me, two garden arches for my grapevines, lots of decorative garden items, storage bins, an apple pitcher and bowls, and only spent $40 something dollars. Then I found boneless, skinless chicken breasts, and bought about 13# for about $18, plus 12# of sliced pork tenderloin for about $14. This is what lots of husbands don't recognize as our contribution to saving on our budget, but I have a food-saver sealer, and I separate everything into individual packs.

No, LTG, and I'm so jealous. They are SO money-saving when you can run across a good buy on food like I did today. I won't need chicken for months!!! I spent less than a good dinner out, and have the makings for MONTHS!
