I think it takes a long time for things to return to normal. I cringe every time the kids recall something that I did, and I'm sure I must have been drunk most of the times they happened, because I can't recall it, fot the most part. The latest was when they told me how a friend of theirs laughed when I was swearing a lot when the friend was over at our place... Needless to say, I tried to make as little of it as possible, but I have NO memory of it...
Similarly, I'm also making as little as possible fuss over what I'm achieving, because I know there will be doubts over whether it will be sustainable or not... In my heart, I want to shout out to anyone and everyone how many AF days I've achieved.
But the bestest thing of all: the more we start believing in ourselves, the more others will start believing in us too!I'll do whatever it takes

Opal, congrats on the upcoming return of the pay checks... that certainly helps with the stress level, right?
I can speak from experience, when it comes to trusting/believing again. My son really went AWOL there for a couple of years... and when he's late or whatnot... the first thing through my mind is "Oh no! He's at it again..."
It'll take time Opes. And, Tips is right... the more confident you are in yourself, the more confidence you will evoke from others.Okay, WHO put a stop payment on my reality check?
