So-so bank wise but it is heading in one direction only I am afraid to say. Thoughts of just burying my head in a glass and escaping for a few hours did cross my mind this afternoon briefly but I have learned a lot since I came here and the thought was quickly dispelled. It appears to me no matter how long we are sober and how confident we are that we have this thing under control there are always going to be moments like that. It is how we handle them and grow in ourselves that is important. So sitting here Friday night 11.19 with a mug of tea and a choccy bar counting all the good things I have in my life and they are many. Always have been a glass half full kind of guy even in my darkest hours.

That's good KT. I'm amazed at your attitude!

I find that, even so early on in the process, I constantly have to guard against complacency. Thinking that its becoming easier... and then those niggly little thoughts start creeping in.

One and the same. I can still remember the ads from when I was little: Lunch Bar, the much mooore Munch Bar, pronounced in a Scottish accent :-)

Nothing is surer than the fact that the sun will rise again tomorrow, bringing with it a new day full of hope. We can make that day into whatever we choose of it. So I say lets have a good sober one. I never quite did get the pesimists view of the world, it is just so self defeatist. I have had terrible things happen in my life yet I still try to see the good in everything. So I either have it right or I am a bloody fool but I am happy with my choices.
