hi all

I rarely get on this thread. Just FYI: my dad has been in the hospital for most of the past month. They life-flighted him this AM to the Cleveland Clinic, which some of you may know is rated one of the best hospitals in the US, not to mention the world. I am not kidding.

Thanks for your help and support. As oldest daughter/child, I have to keep everybody humming. Not to mention my own children (ages 18 and 3).

Hello again, all.

I had a lovely drive into the office this morning. The winelands where I live are showing signs of life, with green shoots on the vines. After the rain we had overnight, the air was crisp and clear. Table Bay lay in front of me as I drove toward the Cape Town CBD. Lots of ships in the harbour. You could even make out some of the buildings on Robben Island. Table Mountain was aglow in soft orange tones from the early morning sun...

I just thought I'd share my contentedness with you

CS: sorry to hear about your troubles - we'll all think of you. And don't try and be TOO strong for everybody else.

Good morning Folks!
A cracking day here; crisp cool and bright. A perfect early autumn morning.
I have a birthday party tonight. It should be fun. There will be some people there that I haven't seen for a few years and probably won't see for a few more so that'll be nice.
Work has been interesting of late. Lots of petty politics and people showing the boss who has the brownest tongue. It's hilarious the lengths that some people will go to to be the teacher's pet.
