Hello troops.
A busy Saturday for me, so that I can have a do-what-the-hell-I-like Sunday.
I used to dread the weekends. I thought I'd be bored rigid without a drink, but it's not the case.
They are so much fun. It's like being a kid again.
Now, where did I put that skateboard???

Hello again, all
All this lamb & X-mas cooking talk has made ne hungry!
I think a rack of lamb is in order for tonight: crisp & crunchy on the outside, lovely pink and tender on the inside. Outside rubbed with olive oil, garlic, rosemary and my special spice mixture...
Roast potatoes (with a little butter for richness), broccoli (WITH gooey cheese sauce), glazed carrots.
And for something sweet: sticky toffee pud & runny custard. Oh god, its going to divine!
I must admit: I really, really, really miss a glass of good wine with a lovely meal... But alas, it is not an option, as it always led to a bottle of vodka as well... Maybe I'll just serve the family sparkling grape juice in some of our nicer wine glasses...I'll do whatever it takes

Not too bad at all Sunbird. It brightened to a nice day after a dreadful start. So the shopping is done, the garden is finished, the buns are made and dinners in the oven. Just waiting on son to ring for a lift to go collect his car.
What you get up to yourself?

Went shopping with my daughter and 4 year old grandaughter, who is the absolute light of my life---just soooo cute!
She is sleeping over this weekend, which gives my daughter a chance to do some socialising--its hard being a single Mom.
Been treading through the threads, and a vey pervasive theme seems to be a sense of lonliness or emptyness in our lives, or maybe a feeling of not being quite complete somehow...? What do you think?
