Is anyone here from Chicago or nearby? I may be up there soon for the first time. Please tell me what to do there, Or mostly PM me if you want to have lunch or dinner. It's on me!!!

You should check out Lakeshore Drive. Near Soldier Field, there is an aquarium and a museum worth seeing. (I loved seeing Soldier Field, too. )

The cuisine in Chicago is amazing. There are little pockets of different ethnic groups and their restaurants are very much worth a visit. I am sure you can find some good vegetarian ones.

I also enjoyed meandering around the universities there. Loyola is in the northern part of Chicago.

Of course visiting the Sears and Hancock towers is a typical tourist thing to do. I've done it. :H

You can take the el almost anywhere you want to go.

I hope you enjoy Chicago. It is one of my favorite U.S. cities.

MAgs, you can go to this site and find all kinds of vegetarian eating options in specific areas of where you are going to be. It's a cool site and people are very helpful.
