Loving too much, drinking and smocking far too much

    UGH!

YES you can order online - I think its inhousepharmacy or something - can someone give carla the link?
Ugh I am so frustrated by some doctors who are so closed minded about the advances in addiction research! Your doctor - no offence Carla - sounds like an idiot!
Sorry but that really ticks me off. And ask anyone here - I dont get ticked too easily. I am just sick and tired of the medical profession automatically making assumptions based on outdated theories and research. IDIOTS!
Dont give up - we will help you!
    Hugs

And also Carla, you might want to try everything first (supplements, CDs) before you go for the Topomax or Campral because that might be enough for you to get you started. Your doctor has me really pissed off as well. I am sorry that happened.
I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me

              Hi Carla -
I agree - try out the supps first, and then progress to the topa if you need to - the best website I found was http://www.eshoprx.com/ as Camper said.

They delivered really fast considering I am in UK and they worked out to be by far the cheapest.
Doctors are sposed to be there to help... I don't believe that sitting in a room full of people who are half cut anyway ( swigging full strength cider in a clandestine manner out of their plastic holdalls and then breathing fumes and rambling on helps anyone - just a downwards spiral and bloody depressing - I've been to a few of those meetings myself..

              So anyway Good luck....

And sending you lots of love
              Liz

                Here's an interesting thought -
If you are addicted to nicotine, you can get prescriptions for the addiction
If you are addicted to herion, you can get prescriptions for that addiction
If you are addicted to food, you can get prescriptions for that addiction

So why in the hell can't we get a prescription for our addiction!?!

                ...Just a thought

I Have exactly the same problem here with my doctor, i have been reffered to some stupid alcohol clinic which is full of really bad drug addicts and such...it is horrid!! Iv Had to go out of my area and lie about where i live in order for someone to take me seriously...rather than thinking "oh shes depresssed cause she drinks"... i think and hope that these people understand that its completely the other way around...my drinking is a symptom of my problem. starting my journey..hopefully, i really hope you can do the same x with the help of everyone on here im sure you can.they have and continue to help me massivley.

Loving too much, drinking and smocking far too much

Hi friends. Thanks - you are so uplifing and supportive, I am really glad I found you. I've checked out, among others, eshoprx.com, they are fair. Will take step B later in the day - thanks once again.

I went to the chemist yesterday and requested for sleeping tablets where I obtain Baldiparan. Instead of taking a tablet an hour before going to bed as prescribed, I took two in the day and two more an hour later. By 10pm I was all still. There has been this bottle of wine that I bought two days back standing in the kitchen, and I only looked at it as flower vase - then I went to bed, sweated the whole night interrupted by strange dreams but the last thing I craved for was alcohol. This morning I wished I could tell my doctor that, that all I seriously needed was medication because I am willing to stop or cut down alcohol. But then came the clarity of my visit to her yesterday because I told her that I wasn't the comfortable type going to speak out my daily problems with others - no, she didn't care, said she understood that alcoholics always want to be annonymous. Alcoholics? I have been drinking a lot, everyday, the last two months. My drinking history goes to almost five years back when I first contacted alcohol, but I could drink like a fish sometimes and manage several months without drinking even though I had a bar at home then, so why didn't she even care to ask how long I have been drinking or so on? Anyway, we know that she is really a bad doctor/person or whatsoever. At least they took my blood sample to check if I still had a liver or not....result should be picked up next tuesday. It will be my last contact with her coz I trust her so well to tell my 'still' husband(who should be seeking this help more than I) next time that his wife is alcoholic.

Anyway, I am glad to have you, really. I am not in a position to support anyone moraly at the moment but when this is over.....when it is over or even improves, I will be more active to also listen and respond to other people's cries. Let's move on. Loads of hugs and very nice day.

                        Carla

I've never heard of Bagpuss but I think he/she is awfully cute.

When I was searching my memory bank for childhood characters I couldn't come up with Bagpuss but I came up with H.R. Puffinstuff.

Not the same I know but I suppose after what I've done to my brain I'm lucky I have any memories left in there:H

Happy camper, why do you think that I lead a double life? I feel that I do, now that you mention it, lonely life is known to me - and that's one of the major problems. Do you have any advise? Loads of hugs and thanks for being straight forward. I like it. Carla

Thanks Liz. Those meetings would depress me even more I know. I've watched a lot of the alc institutes on TV - by coincidence, and even before I knew that I would be one, they really looked more stupid to me than helpful. So when my doc suggested yesterday that that's actually where I belong, without asking me questions that I believe she was obliged to, I was devasted. Anyway, this till be managed, I am sure. Hugs from Germany
