Hey everyone, just a quick hello...at the ol work computer and just about ready to head home for the day, only to come back in and hour and a half to watch daughter play volleyball. Thank goodness it is a home game. I've put enough miles on the car so far this season that I could probably drive to Oney's by now (if I had a submarine!) You all sound well and are very entertaining!

Alongside Norwegian Forest Cats, they are the largest domestic cats in the world.

I'll probably never buy a pedigreed cat again, but Maine Coons are the ultimate.

Did you know they are also called "Hemingway Cats"? Good old Ernest used to keep them.

The polydactyls (mine had six toes on his front feet) were burnt alongside purported witches during the Inquisition, because they were believed to be evil.

They were also the preferred cats on ships - due to adeptness at catching rats.

Sadly, my Maine Coon is also a squirrel-killer...
