30 days for me

Hey everyone,
Wanting to share that today is 30 days for me....hurrah. Very excited. I plan to take it ODAT of course but have absolutely no plans to moderate. Did 30 days a couple of months ago, tried to mod and has very disasterous results. I was wondering why the 30 day mark seems to be the 'magic time'. I am not discounting it at all and it was very challenging to do but any ideas would be fab.

I can relate. When I first quit after years of daily drinking, I thought I was "cured" after 60 days AF. My results were disasterous too! Life is so much easier since letting go of any drinking fanstasies and just accepting that for me, the only safe thing is abstinence.

Life will just keep getting better as you get more AF time under your belt and get back to LIVING. Feel free to join us on the AF Daily thread in the Monthly Abstinence section if you are so inclined!

Bloody well done Luba!!

I remember doing 30 days and feeling so good on it....decided to do 30 more...once I had decided that, came here, told everyone...so I was accountable....did another 30 days...and the rest is history...I never drank again...

My only advice would be to log in every day....join a daily thread, there are many of them and that is half the battle .....honesty.. when you are checking in on a daily basis, it does make it easier somehow....

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes...I am pretty proud and looking forward to a life of AF happiness and living again. The changes to my life and body over the past 30 days have been outstanding and so amazing. thank you for the support. I will check in everyday - I think not doing that last time was a mistake, as well as the "I can mod, I can just have one attitude." I just can't drink alcohol and that is a bloody good thing!!!!!!!
