Certainly hope to...I suggested he bring the missus and the cubs through to Bredasdorp for the day but if that doesn't work out I will definitely make a plan to meet up with him!

Was quite windy last week Birdie but we have been having a bit of wet weather which is a godsend. Serious drought down here.....

They are even feeding the Hippos etc on lucerne at Mpongo and other parks....

Evening, all

Phew, what a day!

I'm finally getting (a long overdue) grip on my professional life. If I hadn't had a team of great people in place, we would all have gone down in flames by now... I am grateful to them.

On a personal level, life is shite, but tolerable.

I'm having a great time with my nuclear family (I.e. Mrs. T & cubs). I'm being a good dad, a loving hubby. I have the most supportive wife any man could wish for.

But don't get me going on relationships beyond that...

I had a long chat with my brother today. He's not an alkie like me. He managed life much better than I ever did. But even he had anger in his voice when we spoke about our parents today.

Collective boing, OK?

Tip, it's so sad when we have in-law, out-law, etc. problems. I get a lot of grief from a know-it-all sibling who was always condescending about my drinking, very judgemental, and it hurt. Now he's dealing with a DUI himself, and I don't feel the least bit vindicated or smug about it. Oh well, we can't control anyone but ourselves.
