Morning Underoo's, and all to come,
My last week at current job. Yay, and double yay! I will chill, and enjoy it. Any potential embuggerances encountered will be side stepped, and replaced with a feeling, and knowledge, of abundantry afoot.

Morning Underoos..
Had a totally crap day yesterday as I got possessed on Saturday and lost my mind somewhere in some cheap Argentinian Chateau du Nausea I do not remember much of what happened that night and therefore send voluminous apologies to anyone I was chatting to. I could not face Sunday at all until quite late in the afternoon and there were 3 empty green bottles in my kitchen. I think that is some kind of record in stupidity even for me! I am not an extremely large person so the effect was fairly brutal. I am definitely smaller, older and more shrivelled after that experience. There is one bottle left in the fridge and I am leaving that there as aversion therapy. Each time I see that green bottle I hope I will think HEADACHE and NAUSEA!!! Talk about ?Don?t cry for me Argentina? :upset: YECHH!!

Greetings all......Ficks, ugh...Argentinian wine is not good - a headache in a bottle is right.
Sounds like a couple were struggling on the weekend.......I'm gearing up for No-Bender November. I tried OctSober and was waylayd in my mission, but it has been quite a success, alot more AF days than usual. The thing is, I was modding quite happily but felt I should do the 30days as I've not done it and I felt up for the challenge...but I wasn't...now I'm finding it distracting. Maybe it was better to not try to fix it if it ain't broke...but I find it absolutely impossible to walk away from a challenge once set.

Just saw U2 show with 99,997 of my closest friends here in LA. Amazing that they can put on a show for that many people and still make you feel like there are only 50,000 there... It was a fun night.

While it was tough to hear the boys over my rattlin' dags - I must say, I would not shlep my sheep self to a stadium show to see ANYONE but them. I have seen them many times and even when they are having an off night- they are still the best live band around. And yes- Edge nocks my sox off although I have a very soft spot if you must know for Larry Mullen Jr.

Great to hear Sheep. I think they're great. They've come to Oz a few times, saw them once in the 80's, and i too, don't drag myself off to a stadium gig for just anyone. Having said that, now i've got the socialising af down a bit better, i'm starting to get out to more pub's and club's/gig's, and it's great!

Thanks for the commis' guys.. Glad you're going well Bridgee, Sheep & Mr G!
Angel, I must admit that modding successfully sounds far better than anything. Modding was tough for me but thought it might be easier with no painkillers & less stress. Found that PMT can still sneak up on me tho.... Grrr
Now how to get back on the horse again. I Actually want the AF days to outnumber the slips and NEVER have a bender! Definitely gearing up for another AF stint next month.. and hope to start sooner rather than waiting till then.
Made sure we had a good dinner tonight, Mediterranean Salad, Lentils, Roast Veggies, Tahini Sauce, Steamed Rice, Lamb pops (chops) & everyone was Haaaaaaaaaaaapy

Hi Fick's. It's a long process, i think. Eventually we either change our thinking, and attitude to booze, and not obsess over how much, what, and when, and drink occassionaly,.... give it up altogether,..... or keep drinking and die a slow death. Unlike folk's with a terminal illness, i can choose.

I absolutely agree.. except I think I have a tad of the Mrs Jekyll goin on here.. there is at least 1 night a month where I might hex into someone else & buy lots wine no matter how well behaved I choose to be otherwise. I can only congratulate myself that I do whatever I do safely for everyone else concerned & hide it as best i can.. in fact I actually hide it from myself insofar as that is actually possible. Well, we're all different too, of course. The bottom line being, i suppose, that if we think we have a problem, we have a problem, and we're here searching, getting support, and a bit of understanding and knowledge, hopefully.
