Holy heck - in the time I took to type my post you've all gone chattish - evening all.

Ahh Reggie - room in the shed for more power tools. Bliss! Tell 'em nothing about the other stuff.

Had to go to town this morning and opened the flap on the handbag to check that the purse was in there when the biggest, hairiest huntsman spider ran out of the bag. Now, I'm not scared of them but they do startle me when they appear in unexpected places and I reacted accordingly before sweeping the fellow out into the garden.

Got the giggles half an hour later when again opening the handbag to get the purse for my Medicare card. I was at the local Medical Centre, three receptionists behind the counter and about 20 people in the waiting room. I wondered what would have happened if the spider appeared there and then. I would have yelled out the f word, the spider would have run across the computer keyboards and the receptionists would have screamed and jumped on chairs, the patients would have thrown serious wobblies and waved their walking sticks and the six GPs would have rushed out of their rooms and called for security backup.

For some bizarre reason, that little mental scenario really amused me.

Great to hear Tip. It is a long bloody road, but i hope it's made more bearable by at least waking up sober, and with some direction. Reg would be a good man to err, bounce off, so to speak....

Evening Supermodel T. I love our big spider's, like ya huntsmen. They're really cool i reckon. It's just those little redback's and white tail's, not to mention funnel webs further north that can be an embuggerance to a barefooted af'er like meself.
