Sounds ok Tawny, but make sure they're nylon. Not quite the traditional material's used, but close enough for the bush.

G'night Tawny. And put your Mandrel in it's case overnight, unless of course, you sleep with it, like i do, with a couple of stringed mistresses sharing the bed.
Day off tomorrow. Yay! Have a safe, sober evening folk's.

oh gawd oh gawd oh gawd oh gawd oh gawd oh gawd OH GAWD.....it's a calamity people, an absolute calamity.
So I'm happily doing my thing here, about to cook dinner when there's a knock at the door...bloody people I think, knocking on my door (people shit me sometimes, as you know) consider pretending I'm not home but the screaming kids give it away so I open...and it's....THE OUT-LAWS...FROM NZ NO LESS...they're not supposed to be dropping in here unannounced. Assume happy face etc etc they have beer (they always have beer) and I'm caught off guard, how do I tell them their favourite drunk DIL is AF?? I completely don't know, can't think fast enough...so I have a beer...I KNOW, all very dramatic.
There, I said it. I'm cranky with myself but really, there's only so much planning I can do here...
Going to bed now...back with the plan tomorrow. I'm just trying to work out how I can still make it a completely AF October now...?? Buggery Bollox (thanks Zen)
Bed.

God Almighty Angel.
Who 'drops in' from New Zealand ? No warning at ALL ???
Some suggestions:
Tell em you're on antibiotics.
Tell em you think you're a diabetic.
Tell 'em you feel sick (they'll think you're pregnant)
Tell 'em you're on a diet/in training.
Tell 'em the truth ? You just don't want to drink. That should be enough eh ?If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Angel - I feel duty bound to apologise on behalf of all kiwis!
Staying home today to churn through a pile of marking that is really overdue. Feeling very blah, and might have a quiet day allowing my self to crack up a little.
My Betty cat (one of our adopted ones) graduated last nigght from catching the odd weta to bringing in a humungous rat!! Tried to take it upstairs to the bedroom, but I got her just in time. Threw it over the deck and back into the bush, and she sat on the railing peering out to try and find it for about 10 mins!! It was as funny as a fight!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn
