Yes, and no, Zen. The Vented Mandrel is cylindrical in shape, and is associated with the forging of tool's, however, it's design is taken from an ancient Celtic stringed instrument of the same name, as explained in a previous post, a couple of pages back. Thanks for the encouragement folks, I will just tell the outlaws that I'm doing OctSober as a challenge. And I'm definitely back with the plan...surely there won't be any other surprises this month....anyway I learn from each experience and if it was to happen again I'd be more prepared next time!! And to clarify I do love MrCakes parents, 'it's nice to be nice' is my MILs motto...and I think that's nice!!! So it'll be good to have them around for the next couple of weeks.
Did I mention they came bearing gifts?? Yep, a bottle of voddy & another of Baileys - bless!!
OK, gotta go 'fess up to my OctSober buddies on the other thread.

The one thing I HAVE done right lately is to continue with the walking routine. Even got a group of Mums together to kick each other along. Actually really enjoying it.
