THE NEXT DAY THREAD, October
Morning all - yep, sure is a gorgeous morning. About an hour ago, looking out my window, I watched the sun casting long shadows across the freshly cut grass. About 10m away is a circular bed containing a weeping elm just starting to bud which is underplanted with blue irises. Suddenly and very quietly a big eastern grey hopped into the frame and just stood next to the irises and looked back at me. It doesn't get much better than that.
Have a top day.

I envy you the sun and warmth! Here the whole country has been hit by a massive southerly. Major snow dumps, freezing winds and the warmest it has been this week was 9 degrees!! Right now it is hailing!!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Oh and hello to Beagle and Sheep amongst others that I?ve forgotten to cherio.
Tawny, please cough up that Quinoa recipe! I?ve had some in the cupboard for ages but have not found a tolerable way to eat it yet. Enjoyed the picture you painted v much - are the irises all blue?
Reggie & Rags, I share your aversion? put me in a smoky bar = disaster. Just add music.
What is it with the indian theme? I made quite a respectable beef curry last night - not one complaint
And btw it was the surgeon?s choice of introductory music (I was first cab off the rank) and he warned everyone it was going to turn heavy very quickly. Cant imagine messing about with power tools inside of people is pleasant really.. Must take a very special kind of person to do that on a daily basis and I prefer not to think about what dreams he might have (eek visions of Dexter) v Grateful it?s not MY job.
Wavers, I?m all agreement - working on my perception as we speak.. Please post link to the toolbox for me again Mr G - it?s a thing I always lose track of and I fear I?m gonna need it some time soon.
Wishing everyone a glorious day!

In the past have been so hyped with my achievement I’ve gone out & stuffed up fairly quickly.. Pretentions to invincibility? My trouble is once I’m clear I just feel as though I’ve never had an issue in the first place.. Who me? Not looking forward to being back in the corporate grind having people waving invitations to boozy lunches under my nose all the time. I will have to be very unsociable. The diet was a good idea as it has given me something else to focus on - craving for carbs instead of you know what. In the past it did cure me of the old bread & beer longings so lets hope it does again. It is also an excellent excuse when bothered by outlaws & colleagues.
