Mid check in here...wrote a long post this morning and lost it...hey!!! I heard that sigh of relief through the ether people, what's wrong with me talking about me again??? Wanna know what I think??
Oh yes, it's all sillarity here. Good to hear everyone's news - Tawny, what a terrible embuggerance the threat of bushfires...oh well, the good with the bad & all that.
Have just put the 2yrold down for sleepies (he's sick, 'tossed the cookies' as my Mum says)and the 4yr old is with Grandma & Grandad so I'm gonna grab a coffee & take 5 myself...doesn't happen often!!

Wow, hello to you all!
Fickle, it's me who is going to be away in India, not the Indian surgeon away in India.... I saw my regular doctor yesterday and told her what happened, with a few embellishments. She was in fits, then asked me if I'd like a referral to someone else. I said I should be OK as long as he can sew neater than he writes. She cracked up. Thanks for thinking of me, I appreciate your thoughts and kindness.

Tawn, have you got a sprinkler system set up on your roof? Some el cheapo thin garden stuff instead of copper piping (which we're having installed at the new place) should work OK.

Just a very quick check in, its a lovely day here today, I have just cut my grass and now I think I might do some weeding before I pick the boys up from school.

Hi guys having a terrible time at the training course .... they are all YOUNG recently graduated lawyers they look at me as ... This guy obviously signed up for the wrong course ... I hear whispers .... whos the petrified forest sitting on group 4 ....its gotta be a mistake .... maybe hes a plant ... I hear whispers ....Then they type there witness statements ... 14 year olds can touch type... the guy I was teamed up with was ready to kill me....... REG needs more time to type his witness statement as he can only use TWO FINGERS!!!!! Man I wanna be a star fish at the moment sorry I wish I could post something positive but it will get better

Ronnie, i hope you can rely on your support from you! You won't be letting anybody down but yourself. At least, this is the kind of thinking that i find is most successful.

What great mum's, all of you mum's are, and all the gal's. (Edit- and what great people all who come here are!) Even though you all (we all) have various battle's with the booze, your warmth and dedication to your families, and to us, who should be so lucky, really shines through, no matter where you seem to be at. It's really inspiring, and.....nice. (Us blokes are all excellent dad's, uncles, brother's, son's too!) Sigh, i think i'll go pick some daffodill's.........oh look, a butterfly.....x

Thanks Rags and Fickle and the G man you guys are so cool I dont know what to do???? one part of me says GO FOR THE THROAT!!!!!! the other side says..... leave it reg grow up and be mellow!!!!! thanks G cant afford to do a Pete Townsends head job on the young buck!!!!! Mr G my personal songs dont seem to have the toxic effect they used to have .... Im down to one guitar!!!!!! old is good I reckon... Ill stick to 2 fingers Reggie .... and they can rush there statements I know mine will STAND UP IN COURT!!!!! and Ill be giving them TWO hugely proud Reggie fingers when they loose their first case:H:H

Where I work there is a smug young twat who has never done anything in her life except that job.. been there since she left school and no intentions of going anywhere else. She considers herself highly superior due to lenth of service and my very existence pisses her off because unintentionally, everything I do is better than her. She seems to spend large parts of her day trying to find ways to annoy me. It's a losing game because we are part of a 'team' and I have not managed to find a way to dumb myself down far enough to keep her happy. I may be older but I'm smarter, better educated, more efficient, innovative, faster, I actually know what people are talking about in meetings so I actually go, and oh yeah.. I'm thinner too

There are times when age and experience are definitely good!

Just wait till I have to go back to work Mr G.. I may have to get the boots on & do the ole nancy sinatra so that I don't pickle in my own spit.. She's just one of those people who poke and poke and poke until a poor bugger leaves then smugly says 'you can't get good staff these days' Grrr I've watched her do it so many times, specially to juniors.. ah life is too short to put up with people like that. I feel a new career comin on!!
