Morning all!

Am very very busy looking after my 5 tomato plants. Tomatoes definitely Plum and coming along well....good lord I need a job! Enjoyed catching up on the weekend thread, always fabulous reading.

Was up early doing a few Sun salutations which seemed to make the school run scramble go a bit smoother, then off to the dog run where my Jack Russell insisted on shagging everything in sight, he's been 'done' and doesn't usually indulge so I don't know what that's about. Other t dogs just pretended they weren't with him and got on with their much more polite butt sniffing.

Ok, got to keep the momentum going or I'll end up staring into space - onwards and upwards!

Bets, I've just been tending to my tomato plant also...I've got some little green ones on there & I'm soo excited...can't wait.
We also have stawberries - both of them about ready to pick! Good thing I only have 2 kids.

Chook - very glad you've joined us & yes, AF is the way to go. I gave OctSober a whirl but got waylaid with the rellies arriving(a surprise)...no excuse but shows how being unprepared can really do me in. I've now lined up No-bender with my bestie who lives in QLD so we're gonna support each other. I'll also jump on the band wagon here...I'm sure there'll be others who want to do it. But I'm back to AF for the rest of October again. And if that fails then I'm gonna take some drugs *F**K it I'd rather not*

Back to the chores.

Geez Angel - what a wonderful mum and provider you are. The kiddos are going to get one WHOLE strawberry EACH! Bliss!

Reporting that I'm shoving $13's worth of fuel into the bloody mower every day. To fill the 'going-out' car costs me about $70 and that lasts for some three weeks.

So - do i stop mowing and/or go out more? Such a conundrum ...

I am trying to grow some flowers in a few pots in the back yard for the kids.......nothing yet it seems!
Do you think it could have something to do with the neighbourhood cats peeing in it every other day?

Perhaps I should try tomatoes? Hmmmm...... or strawberries sound promising......

Evening All,
Late check in for me. Buggered if I know where the afternoons/evenings go these days. Getting a lot done though.
Where's G string ? Hmmmmm.......those bloody groupies again.
Tawny, I'm thinking seriously about replacing my lawn altogether. Bloody HATE mowing anyway. Maybe use Dichondra or summat. If I were you though, I'd get some pioneer species in and shade out the grass altogether then interplant with native grasses (barbed wire, kangaroo grass or whatever's endemic where you are) Then piss the mower and all it's emissions off forever. Dream on Bridge....

Bridge- I'm not mowing lawn as such - I'm keeping the grass down because if left it would be 2' high and major fire fuel once it dries off.

Morning folks,
Spent yesterday cataloguing my grandad's gramophone collection dating from about 1908ish. Pretty sure they are worthless now. Got me pondering how transient we and all our grand passions are. About half way through it now. Jeez I wish I had a 78 player. I've never really listened properly to half this stuff. Seems the passion for musical appreciation has been passed down though and explains some of my preoccupation.
