    We celebrate Workers' Day (used to be May Day and illegal in the bad old days in SA - communist connotations) on May 1st.

      Union man here. 'Touch one, touch all'! 8 hours work, 8 hrs. play, 8 hrs rest. These conditions were fought for many years ago, by working people, for working people, but don't get me started on that stuff!

      Not a chance re the vegie fritter's, i reckon Bridge! Musical saturday arvo was grand thanks. Gigging this thurs, so that'll re charge the spirit..err, and i don't mean my glass, bartender!.........;-)

                  No meds for me Bridge. I just don't like the idea. Cold turkey here, but only cause i know my body, and have done that a few times before. But, cold turkey, or just stopping can be dangerous, as we know. Meds can certainly help the de tox process be less uncomfortable though. And feel free to ask me anything, as i'm way past the point of knowing no shame, and/or embarresment. Although, somehow, i still have pride, and have always had a little flicker of hope, even in the darkest hour's. That little flicker of hope, and little bit of pride, brought me back.

                    I'll just qualify. Med's aren't for me, which is just a personal thing, but i respect people's right to use them, and whatever it takes to beat this problem. An excellent diet is also crucial to nourish our brain/neurological path's.

                        For depression, I take St. John's Wort

                        I also take a B-complex multivitamin

                            Just over 11 months. And yep, i'm as proud as punch! (non-alcoholic, of course).....Very very happy. Finally free, and strangely for me, wanting to stay that way. It's cool, and indescribable.
