          THE NEXT DAY THREAD, October

          Morning folk's!
A good sleep had by the big fella, and ready for action.
Hi Sheep. Mudcake is a traditional Australian cake, made of, you guessed it, good old Aussie mud from a paddock. The paddock is usually frequented by livestock, i.e. sheep, hence, plenty of mud on a rainy day. Mud is collected, and then sterilised, to rid of potential blow fly egg's, and then mixed with the chocolate (usually) of your choice, where it is put in a big old outdoor clay oven under the star's, and baked till ready. mmmmm. Mouth is watering. It's a famous, traditional delicacy, taken from a technique used by middle eastern camel wrangler's in outback Oz, all those years ago. The process apparently dates back thousands of years.

Have a safe, sober, and maaagical day everyone!

            THE NEXT DAY THREAD, October

Morning Mr G. I'm going to have to start calling you Apostrophe Man (as in the SMH Last Word column of many years ago).
Went to Bombo to photograph sunrise over Kiama this morning, and someone had shifted the sun50 degrees!! So tomorrow is my last chance to get a sunrise shot, but I'll go to a different location and hope the sun decides it will rise behind Kiama Lighthouse!
To-day looks like it will be great. Off to my dentist 8:30 then up to Sydney for last minute bookkeeping and filing, then back down again for second last sleep in my home of 17 years. And my flight time getting closer. Starting to get a little excited. Hope the people are at the other end to pick me up.
            Catch you all later.

              Sounds delicious Mr G.
Any kind of sauce or frosting to go with said recipe or just 'au naturel'?
As a sheep, one would have thought I may have 'run across' this paddock based recipe in my sheep-travels.
              Good to know.
              Thanks

                Morning all

Sheepy - isn't Mr. G'apostrophe just a veritable font of knowledge?

Rags - I hate those pesky sun shifters! I'm getting very excited on your behalf. I've been to India and loved that so I'm certain you'll adore SriLanka. I guess leaving your home after 17 years brings mixed feelings but hey - new adventures all round. Oh ... and ... I thought you slept with your dentist ...????

                  LMAO Tawny.
Sheep - mudcakes usually have a chocolate ganache icing & they're really good in the microwave for a few seconds so they really ooze.
Rags - very exciting...tell me again - you're going to India right?? and then flying into Brissy to sail back down to Sydney?? Sounds much more exciting than a day job!!

Well, I'm off to rock it sideways - one foot on the foldback wedge.
                  Will start with James.

                    Hi Tawny and Angel
Yep I slept with my dentist last night so I didn't have to pay for the new crown this morning. Saved me heaps.
Angel, yep, Sri Lanka and India and a couple of days in Nepal... following in the footsteps of Buddha so to speak. I reckon I'll have the time of my life.... within the constraints of being in the company of a heap of Buddhist nuns. So, no misbehaving on my part!
Foldback wedge.... sounds like a new fangled hair style! Don't forget to look straight ahead like Mr G said.

Reg, If you're there, I hope you went to work to-day. Don't let the little buggers get under your skin.
I understand how you feel though. The world of computers and internet photoshop Gmail, IT is too much for me to take in. I feel a bit of a dill at times and I've converted my XL back to 98 so I can work it. I was the oldest at a TAFE course a couple of years ago (and the only girl in the class) a bit daunting at times.

Mr G.....will you PUH-LEEEEESE stop winding up the 'other side' with your mudcake recipes and blow fly horrors. We'll be getting calls from Tourism Australia threatening legal action.:H
Overcast again here today. I will never complain about cool weather or rain, but Jeez it makes the school holidays hard.
Nemind adventures are now booked for the rest of the hols.
                        Bridge
